Pictures of my kids.

Most of you haven't seen my kids lately, or at all. So, here is a picture of them.

While I am on blogspot, I guess I should give an update. JC is back to work at the pig farm. He doesn't mind the work so that makes things a little easier. It will be nice to have a steady paycheck and maybe get out from under some of this debt.

The kids are as crazy as ever. We just got over really bad colds so they are making up for all the quiet time.

Me, well, not a whole lot is different. I am busy at home and trying to keep the house running. I am trying to find a job and help make some extra money. We'll see how it goes. Other than that things are going as normal.

By the way, don't mind Kyra's hair. (she is the one in the blue jammies on the right. Her hair is OUT OF CONTROL!)

Also, the dog, Aussie, went into the picture on her own. She wanted to be part of the festivities.

Am I young or old?

I can't decide whether I am old or young. Here I am 25, 3 kids and some of my hobbies leave me wondering. Since living here in Milford I have crocheted 3 blankets. I am in the middle of another one with the yarn for the next after that.
Also, I am going to be taking quilting classes on Thursday nights. I am really excited about it but I sound like an old lady. I don't look old but sometimes I do feel it.
On the other hand I do Pilates in the mornings and that isn't something old ladies do. though, I do make a lot of casseroles. I just can't decide. :)
On a totally different topic, JC is finally going to be coming home today. He has been gone for about 5-6 weeks. He has been working in Ogden on the railroad and can finally come home. I am so excited. It has been awhile since we have had him here. The kids have really missed him and I realized how much I need him as well. I like knowing he is going to be here to give me a much needed break. WELCOME HOME JC!!!

Lori, the party house

While in Salt Lake I got to go see my good friend Lori. Little did I know, her house is the party house of the neighborhood. All the neighborhood kids come over. I bet it is because she is always baking. Well anyway, we went to visit and I realized just how much I miss my weekly play dates with her. It helped keep me sane. We had so much fun talking and going to the DI and Reams. I really do miss doing that. I just wanted to shout out to her and let her know how much fun it was to see her and how I wish we could do it more.
Love ya Lori

A visit with a new/old friend

This past week we had the opportunity of connecting with an new/old friend. While in Salt Lake we went to go see a family who adopted a little boy from Ethiopia and from the same orphanage as Damien. It was a wonderful day. I have been talking to a new friend of mine named Jennifer and she is the mom. (We actually went through the same agency.) Well, both our sons knew each other and we only found that out when we exchanged pictures. Both our sons looked at the pictures and identified the kid they were looking at. So, we finally got together and it was wonderful. The little boys looked at each other and were confused. But after some time all 7 kids were playing (3 of mine and 4 of hers.) It was a great visit and I hope we can do it again. It is so nice to have kids from the same background as my son. What an amazing time.

The Days of my Life

Well, I have quite a lot to talk about. Many, many things have happened in my life that are worth writing about. Let me now talk about the Days of my Life.
First I just want to say that Kyra is about 80% potty trained. She has an occasional accident and doesn't make it through the night but I am calling this a success. Damien has also stopped wetting the bed at night. AWESOME!!!

Second, Jc is working up in Salt Lake on the railroad. He has been up there about a month and making a lot of money. This is good since the adoption set us back. We miss him here but we prayed ofr help with finances and got an answer.

Third, I am trying to get a job at the adoption agency I went through to get Damien. All is going well. I am suppose to be hearing from them this week about a job possibility. I hope I get it. It would be perfect because I would be working from home and setting my own hours.

Fourth, this is a sad bit of news. 4 of our chickens have been eaten, probably by coyotes. That left only one and so I gave it to a good friend of mine so now we just have the 3 that were here when we moved in.

Fifth, JC and Damien are both going to be having surgery next month. JC has to have his heart surgery again to fix the hole. It hasn't filled in yet. His surgery is Dec 17. Damien is going to have a circumcizion(?). That will be Dec 19th. Bad week. We are hoping to have the sealing Dec 15th so I hope that works out. Damien is going to be blessed Dec 2nd so that will be a wonderful day.

Sixth, I am going to be a quilter. I am taking quilting classes. I sound so old.

That is all for now. I will keep an update.

Apparently people (I don't know who) want to know more about me. This is a little odd to me but here goes.

What I was doing 10 years ago: I was 15 and boy crazy. I was a freshman at school and having a great time. This was the time I still liked going to school and I didn't sluff once. That is crazy to think about since once I went to Granger that all changed.

What I was doing 5 years ago: I was newly married to my fantastic husband JC, pregnant with my first child Olivia and stressed about anything and everything.

One year ago: I had just moved my life to Milford. I was scared and everything was different here. JC and I had just begun our adoption of our son Damien and we were excited about our new life.

Yesterday: I did the usual mom things. I went to the grocery store and post office. I cleaned the house, took care of the kids and then I watched Alias and Scrubs when they went to sleep.

5 snacks I enjoy: chips and salsa, chocolate, cereal, fruit and cookies

5 things I would do if I had $100 million: pay off all debt and buy a house, build an orphanage in Ethiopia, adopt more children, open schools in Ethiopia and help my family out. Wait I have one more, travel.

5 places I would run away to: British Isles, Ethiopia, Australia, France, Russia

5 TV shows I like: This one is hard since I don't get tv reception down here I will name shows I like that may or may not still be on tv. Scrubs, The Office, Friends, Biggest Loser and Deal or No Deal.

5 things I hate doing: Laundry, litter boxes, driving to Salt Lake (just the drive I am happy when I get there), dishes, and sitting around being bored.

5 biggest joys of the moment: marrying my husband JC, being a mother to my children, visiting friends and family, being part of a community, and feeling like I make a difference.

I now am suppose to tag 5 people, the problem is the people I know who read this have been tagged so I will just name 5 people.
Yvonn Al-azragi, Ginger Healy, Jennifer England, Kristen Snow and anyone else who reads this.
