Less than 24 hrs.

In less than 24 hours JC and I will be on a plane to get our son. I can't believe it. I am really excited and nervous. JC actually jumped around a little and that is not like him. I will be meeting my son in about 2 days. AHHHH!!!! I have a lot to do before I do go but I needed to take a minute and let it sink in that my little boy is coming home. I have been anticipating this for over 9 months. Olivia is really excited for him to come home. Kyra doesn't know what is going on but she is happy anyway. My mom and mother-in-law have been very helpful watching them while we go. I AM LEAVING!!!! Wish us luck and I will update soon.

The Single Digit Countdown 9...8....7

We are at 9 days to go in our countdown to Damien. I can't believe how fast this is all happening. I received our stack of airline tickets today and so now it seems real. We have his bed all set up and things are on their way. I just can't believe it. Included is our newest picture of Damien. He is sooo cute.

Blast Off in 12...

It is 12 days until we will be blasting into Africa. JC and I are really excited and I am really ready to move on to this next phase. The girls are excited to have NaNa and Grandma come play while we are away. Olivia and I have been doing a countdown on the calendar and she is so excited that after 9 months of waiting her brother will be home. Time is just flying by, and in no time I will be on a plane (only the 3rd in my life) and flying farther than I ever have (I have only been to San Fransisco). I just want to take a minute and thank everyone for their support during all this. It is nice to have a strong support system. I love you all.

Fly fly away

Hi everyone. I just wanted to make it known that we have a flight date. We will be leaving on August 25th and will arrive in Ethiopia on the 26th. We are really excited. I am going to be counting down.

And then there were 5....

Hi everyone. I am so sorry for not keeping everything up to date. It has been a crazy month and things are really starting to fall into place. We have some very exciting news, but before I get into that I would like to put down key moments into what has lead up to now. Our July 24th court date got moved due to change in policy and a new waiver needed to continue. Our July 31st court date didn't go as planned. His case went to court, but Damien is from Souther Ethiopia and the paper work for his adoption wasn't up to par, so they had to summon his Uncle to come and make everything legitimate. He had to drive over 500 KM to get to the capital Addis Ababa. He made in the night of August 2nd and this morning they went to court and Damien is now officially our son. It has been a very stressful time since courts close next week. This was the last day to get through until the end of September. We are so excited and can't wait to bring home our son. We don't have flight info yet, but I will post it when we do. I can't believe it. I have 3 kids. I am so lucky and the Lord has really blessed my family. Thanks for the prayers and support. WE ARE GOING TO ETHIOPIA!!!
